"A multimedia talk show, The T.Ocho Show makes good use of graphics, props and video stream to help bridge the gap between 20th century sports commentary and the information era."
Airing Tuesday nights at 10:30 p.m. ET on the Versus network, Cincinnati Bengal's wide receivers Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco serve up NFL insight from the players perspective with a side of entertainment dish.
The T.Ocho Show will be the first-ever weekly national NFL talk show starring two active players.
A multimedia talk show, The T.Ocho Show makes good use of graphics, props and video stream to help bridge the gap between 20th century sports commentary and the information era.
The show features innovative segments devoted to twitter reviews (The Tweet Sheet), , current events (Get your Popcorn Ready), and trash talking (On Blast and Kiss the Baby).
The two Bengals break down various tweets that they have sent out, give viewers the heads up on upcoming people and events to watch for, and call out people in the public eye that they feel have either done an injustice or made a fool of themselves.
From week-to-week Owens and Ochocinco will demonstrate how players deal with sports and Hollywood rhetoric, commenting on the big stories and the big names.
Kevin Frazier, a former Cincinnati sports anchor, is the host of the show. He kicks off the hardball questions from his Hollywood studio and the duo run it back from their studio in Cincinnati.
Frazier is a regular on Entertainment Tonight and does some college football. He’s probably most recognized for his coverage on his Hollywood beat for ET.
Some critics have voiced their disappointment with the show calling it 'unexciting,' for a show that airs at 10:30 p.m.
I say The T.Ocho Show is an NFL driven cross between Nancy Grace and TNT's Inside the NBA. A good show for people who want quick facts, first-hand perspective and laugh-out-loud funny.
Viewers will raise eyebrows at the controversy from player perspective while holding their stomachs laughing at the unfiltered and unrehearsed commentary offered up by two of the most recognizable, quotable and entertaining figures in pro football.
The T.Ocho Show first premiered Tuesday Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. on the Versus network
